Quality Assurance
Our Quality Assurance division utilizes cutting-edge technology
to assure that all the parts we distribute meet industry-wide
standards and pass our own rigorous inspections. All of our
inspection equipment is calibrated with full trace back to the
National Institute of Standards and Technology. Our quality system
is regulated and approved by the FAA, Seattle MIDO. Our portfolio of
certifications includes:
- ASA-100 quality standard and FAA Advisory Circular 00-56A, certified by the Aviation Suppliers Association (ASA).
- Registered ISO 9001:2000 / AS-9100:2004
- On staff, our certified Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR), appointed by the FAA, is trained for the Part 21 area.
- FAA 8130-3 Airworthiness Approval tags can be included for all parts manufactured by Avmat.
Quality Assurance equipment utilized at our facility:
- Zeiss Spectrum CMM/CNC controlled with a working area of 28" X 40"
- Mitutoyo BH506 CMM
- ST Optical Comparator with a 14" screen and Quadra-Chek 200 controller
- 3 X 5 Standridge Surface Plate
- Various Mitutoyo and Brown & Sharp measuring equipment
